Factors to Consider When Choosing Bedding for Men

Men have different preferences and choices when it comes to beddings. But how do men really want to have their beddings organized. Well, to answer that question, this article will go through some of the factors that guys need to know about bedding for men.

One of the important factors that men need to know about bedding is color. Compared to women, most men don’t prefer prints and patterns. For men, the simpler the better. You can have a set of sheets and just see what else you can do to enhance the appearance of the room. You may want to think of a new color on your bed frame, walls and others. For men beddings, it is always advisable to choose neutral colors. This could be khaki, white or even grey. These colors are considered classic and more practical.

Material

The quality of the materials should also be considered. As a rule of thumb, for men beddings, silk and satin sheets are not an option. Yes, they are soft but they can be very tacky as well. It will not be that pleasant for other people especially for women to see guys that have faux-romantic fabric on the beddings. You can go for 100% cotton. Not only this material tends to be neutral as well but they are quality also. They are also cheaper compared to other materials but it is soft so men could have a better and quality sleep at night.

Weave

Some people don’t regard weave as an important factor but the truth is, it is just as crucial as other factors. Always keep in mind that thread count is the weave of the fabric. Hence, it is smart to choose a long weave which feels softer. Basic plain weave can be very complicated. To help you out, when choosing the right weave for your fabric, you just have to look for the terms like supima, pima or Egyptian long staple and you can find a long and quality weave.

Thread Count

Simply explained, thread count refers to the number of threads running vertically and horizontally in one square inch of the fabric. For some people, the higher the thread count, the better. However, you have to keep in mind that thread count can sometimes become very misleading. The reason for this is that some manufactures artificially inflate their numbers by using 2-ply thread. This will allow them to double the thread count without improving the quality of the material. So, as suggested, you should go for 250-300 thread count. You can check these sets to help you out.

Overall, when choosing beddings for men, there are lots of factors that you need to consider. Always keep in mind that our beddings are the place where we go to at the end of the day to have some rest and unwind. Thus, it is important that we pay attention to the details of the fabric that we are choosing so we can get the best deal in the market.
