Q. Who and what are the major influences on your photography?

A. Fashion, lines, emotion. I'm inspired by images from art conscious companies like Free People, J. Crew, John Varvatos, Anthropologie and others. I like to look outside of the wedding world for inspiration. I definitely believe in conveying emotion through art.

Q. What kind of camera do you use?

A. Don't ask nerdy questions. A good one.

Q. Where did you grow up?

A. I grew up primarily in the Bay Area of California. I lived in San Jose and Palo Alto before moving to San Diego. Today I reside within a stone's throw from the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA. Having lived in several places leads me towards booking weddings in different locations than my own.

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?

A. I like to spend time with my radical family. I like to ski. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. Believe it or not, I really enjoy going out and shooting interesting things in the world around me. I like to spend a nice day shopping in the city with my wife and eating a great dinner.

Q. If you could choose one occupation outside of photography what would it be?

A. A pro surfer, duh!

Q. Anything else?

A. I definitely owe everything that I am to Jesus Christ. Without Him, I'd have no talent, no ability, no gifts and nothing worth living for.
