Hi everyone. Last month I shot this awesome wedding with my friend Orbie Pullen from Santa Cruz. He is an amazing photographer and becoming a super cool friend. It was the first time I was able to second shoot for somebody in a long time and it was actually therapeutic. No pressure, just show up, try some new stuff and go home. I think everybody should second shoot every once in awhile (I wish I would have done it more than twice this season) because it helps you grow and see things differently.
Anyhow, I wanted to blog about this wedding for one main reason: the ceremony was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed. I know I made some of you cry with my last post about NILMDTS, but grab some more Kleenex. During the ceremony, Ian made a special vow to Erin’s daughter. He told her how he knew he could never replace her real father (who died a few years ago), but that he would do everything he could to be the best dad ever. Coming from Ian (a cop and MMA fighter), this was so touching. I don’t think there was a dry eye around as everyone watched them embrace as a new family. God, thank you for giving me such a wonderful job to be a part of things like this. Enjoy.
