You guys don’t even know how awesome Romil and Lupe’s wedding was. If you weren’t there, the words I type could never describe it. You take two of the funnest people in the world, beautiful moments at the groom’s home church in Turlock, awesome details at the reception (including a great candy bar), gather up a few hundred of their friends and family, throw some awesome Assyrian flavor in, a part bus and some killer dancing sets and you will have yourself an amazing wedding. I’m absolutely in love with Assyrian weddings. Do my feet hurt when I get home and am I tired from shooting until midnight? Yup. But capturing the joy and excitement of it all is totally worth it.
Lupe is such an awesome bride. She was just beaming the whole day and her contagious laugh and smile filled the room. I love making Lupe laugh and seeing her smile, her smile just seems so real and heartfelt. I loved all the details and the style that Lupe chose for her day. The bridesmaids dresses and hairpieces were awesome (peacock feathers win my heart all the time). Beauty and style, I love it.
Romil was super relaxed and you could tell he was just enjoying the day with his beautiful bride. I’m so happy for you guys! Romil and the guys were all looking sharp and I love how black wedding tuxedos pop when you photograph them in urban areas, awesome.
The wedding was at Mar Addei Assyrian Church in Turlock, CA and even had the mayor of Turlock in attendance. The ceremony was beautiful and the church building was packed. After the ceremony we headed to an area near downtown Turlock for some portrait time with the full bridal party. Special thanks to Kameron Olds for hooking it up with the location scouting. We had over an hour with the couple and the bridal party (always a great decision to ensure lots of quality photos) and then we headed over to the Larsa Center in Turlock. The staff at Larsa are absolutely amazing. The details are all taken care of, things are ready to go and it all turns out beautifully.
Romil and Lupe are off touring Peru for their honeymoon and I’m so jealous! Having a beautiful wedding and then heading off to go see the country of Peru with backpacks, how awesome is that?
