May 8, 2009 I believe portraiture should catch the life and being of the subject. It should be more about a “pose” that is flattering (although we do that), it should be more about some cool props (although we do a little of that) and it definitely should be more about having fun than fighting your way through a photo session (we are big on the fun part).
As a lifestyle photographer, I want to capture the essence of the child. I want to catch them when they’re being silly, funny, crazy and maybe even a little unruly. The photograph below is of Lia. She is definitely one of the cutest kids ever and I hope the warmth of this photo portrays her personality like I know she would. Enjoy.
