We had a sweet room on the 28th floor of the Hyatt Grand Manchester in Downtown San Diego overlooking Coronado, the Bay on one side and Downtown San Diego, the Harbor and Point Loma. One night I walked down to the grocery store to by some breakfast snacks, Odwalla Superfood and some fresh fruit for the family and came home to everyone being asleep. The lights glowing in Downtown San Diego were fantastic, the skies were ever so dramatic and I knew I had to grab my camera and make a few photographs.
Here are a few that I really liked. The first one was shot with a fisheye lens and you can get a nice view of the downtown landscape and cloudy skies. The second one has a little tilt shift thrown in by one of my favorite new lenses. Trust me, none of the blur was done in Photoshop. All I do in post is color and sharpening (plus a little grain for a film photo look). I hope you enjoy.
