I could write so much about this wonderful couple, I wish I had the words to describe how great it has been to get to know Danielle and Kris. You might remember their engagement session photos in Laguna Beach, CA a few months ago. Danielle is an art director for a little company called Billabong and is an amazing artist in her own rite. Kris is a Texifornian and is seriously one of the coolest, most laid back guys to hang out with. I knew their wedding was going to be awesome and I was excited about all of the awesome details and of course, the splendid location of Chinquapin on beautiful Lake Tahoe, CA.
Danielle knew that I like to photograph in different mediums and requested to have some Fuji Instax photos, iPhone photos and some Holga photos (a plastic medium format camera that has quite a cult following) on the wedding day. I’m thankful that my good friend Ingrid came out to help out with making some incredible photographs in a different, artistic medium than your traditional wedding photographs. It was a fun experiment of sorts and I’m thrilled with the results. So thrilled, in fact, that I’d do it again if anyone would like something like that for their future wedding.
