I’ve been wanting to shoot some bridal fashion and have been working on some concepts with some wedding gown designers, stylists, etc. but we haven’t set anything in stone yet. So what happens? Instead of some awesome bridal couture, I’m stuck with Super 150s wool, Italian silk and dudes in suits. Go figure.
These frames were made for an Ethan Shane Clothier, an independent retailer in the area who is in the process of developing a new website and needed photographs. We were actually able to shoot a bit in the new studio, here in Linden, CA and then out in the orchards around town. Here are a few frames that caught my eye.

Wow! What can I say, but I’ve joined the ranks of some of the most awesome wedding photographers in the fact that a wedding I photographed was published on . There are lot of wedding photographers whom I admire that are featured here regularly: Sean Flannigan, Jose Villa, Tanja Lippert, Ana Kuperberg, Jesse Leake, Myrtle & Marjoram, Elizabeth Messina, Jessica Claire, Jerry Yoon and many others I respect greatly. If you’ve never heard of the blog, you should probably stop reading this and get over to check it out right away. One of the coolest things about this wedding being published here is that Ryan and Kelly actually got a lot of inspiration for their wedding from Snippet and Ink. How cool is that? Kathryn is doing such an awesome job with the blog and brings great ideas and inspiration to brides on a consistent basis. So go check it out, bookmark it and return frequently for great ideas for your wedding.

I was super privileged to join up with a group of some of the most talented wedding photographers in Northern California (no joke, no cliche these people are all amazing, like ridiculously amazing wedding photographers) and go shoot some amazingly talented models at an amazingly gorgeous location.  It was AMAZING!

Preston Castle is a former youth correctional facility that was built in the early part of the last century.  It was condemned and shut down in the seventies and has remained closed since.  There are many rumors of hauntings concerning the castle:  supposedly you can hear the old janitor whistle as he mops the hallways and reportedly some tourists have felt a hand on there shoulder only to turn around to a dark doorway.  Well, I’m getting goosebumps, sorry to freak you out.  Needless to say, the opportunity for a photographer to be as creative as he/she wanted to be was there, all day!  There is something about the dramatic window light and insane textures of this place that make me want to go back and photograph there as soon as I can.  It was certainly enjoyable.  BTW, no ghosts were harmed, bothered or sighted during the making of these photographs.

A special thanks to the talented Raquelle Siders of Image Provocateur for providng us with great models and fabulous make up design.  Raquelle and her staff were awesome to say the least, seriously some of the most amazing and creative work I’ve seen to date.  Also, big props to Masha and Seniya from Diamond Bridal Gallery for bringing over $30K in wedding and formal attire for us to photograph.  Their dresses are spectacular and all of the models were saying how much they loved wearing them.  A great team, a great day and some great memories.  Here are some of my photographs, please feel free to comment below (it is really easy).  Enjoy.

Props to whom props are due:

-Tinywater (Dan & Caroline) for just being awesome and putting the concept together.  Sam Hassas for facilitation and making us laugh all day.

-Raquelle Siders of Image Provocateur for rockin’ it like no other.  Seriously, she is as much an artist as Da Vinci, wow.  And pretty cool too.

-Diamond Bridal Gallery for the awesome bridal gowns for the models.  They have amazing gowns, go check them out in Granite Bay, CA.

-Jeremiah of Agape Designs for the formal gowns.  Agape_luv77@yahoo.com

-Our radical model team of Chantal, Anzhelira, Haley, Courtney and Angelina.

-All of the other photographers, assistant MUAs, hair people, curler manufacturers, the Preston Castle team, and the ghosts who let us come out and didn’t bug us.
