Kristin+Joost | In the Country

November 23, 2010

Kristin and Joost (pronounced YO-st) are one of my awesome 2011 couples who I felt an awesome connection with from the first time we met. I love the fact that they are both involved in local agriculture (her family farms and he works in dairy) and how they met at college in San Luis Obispo. These two are completely in love…I mean you can see it in the photos obviously, but in person it is even more beautiful. We cruised around Linden, CA, made some photographs, talked about walnuts and almonds, had a lot of laughs and made some great photographs. It is a privilege to be working with you two and I can’t wait for your wedding next year. Enjoy.

The Wilsons

November 16, 2010

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you just might recognize these folks and you’ll also notice they’ve grown by one! The Wilsons are an awesome family I’ve photographed before and I was so happy when I heard that they had welcomed their baby boy, Sawyer, and wanted to bring him out for a photo session. I love photographing happy families around this time of year in Linden, CA. The leaves are changing colors, the light is beautiful, the air is crisp and there is just something about the fall that inspires me. I still have a very limited number of spots open for family photo sessions (two spots in the Bay Area and three in Linden) so if you’re interested in scheduling something, let me know soon. I’m also offering newborn sessions in the comfort and warmth of my studio in downtown Linden. I hope everyone is having a beautiful fall and looking forward to “the most wonderful time of year.” More photos to come soon! Enjoy.

Amy + Ben | One Look

November 2, 2010

Remember that time when I used to blog? That was awesome. Well, honestly I hope some of you have some spare time this winter because I’m going to be blogging a ton, the new website (which has had its soft opening) will be complete, I’ll be sharing some new personal/travel photography, writing a lot, etc. So stay tuned. I’ll be finishing out the year with weddings in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, local wineries and a lovely wedding in Manhattan. If you’re looking to book something for next year (hopefully your date is available) contact me soon, dates are really filling up fast and I only photograph a limited amount of weddings annually.
In other news, the kids are doing great. Halloween candy is aplenty. I just photographed the birth story of my new little nephew Lincoln. Badgley weighs a whopping 4.75 lbs now. I have a new camera (Mamiya RZ67). Oh, and I’ve been photographing some drop-dead gorgeous weddings. I cannot wait to share everything. While you’re waiting, here is one frame that I love from Amy and Ben’s elegant, gala style wedding at Hotel Vitale and the Ferry Building in San Francisco, CA. What an amazing affair! Alison Ulshoffer Events, Nancy Liu Chin, Lovespun Films, Paula LeDuc Fine Catering, R Douglas Custom Clothier and Miosa Bridal Couture were all involved in making this one extra special.
