I love wedding blogs. They are such a unique outlet to display your work and an excellent resource for brides looking for ideas that they can make their very own. I’ve been a fan of the girls at Junebug Weddings for a while now and they never cease to impress me with their vision and style.
They recently contacted me about using one of the photographs from Justin and Bahareh’s Grass Valley wedding that was a reflection in the pool. I love reflection shots, whether it be a mirror, window, puddle, pool or some other surface. It reminds me of the many moments that I’ve caught a unique reflection in real life and had to stand back for a moment to figure it out. That being said, I’m always looking for them! Thank you so much Junebug girls for displaying my work and keep up the awesome. Enjoy.

I had the privilege to photograph a birthday celebration/hot air balloon ride for an awesome client in the Napa Valley a few months ago and thought I would share some of the photographs. The balloon ride in and of itself was epic. It was so quiet and peaceful floating above the vineyards of Napa and Sonoma wine country. It was surreal. We floated over some wineries, some large private residences and enjoyed one of the most amazing views of the Napa Valley that anyone could possibly experience. Here are some of the photographs I made. Enjoy.

This awesome couple will be married this July at Edgewood Country Club in Lake Tahoe, CA and I’m so stoked to finally be sharing some of their engagement session photographs. Samantha is so sweet, so down to earth and she also does triathlons (I seriously felt like a wimp when she told me that). I remember our first consultation and how excited she was about her wedding. It is really cool to work with couples that are so in love you can feel it. Samantha, you’re awesome and you are going to be a stunning bride. I can’t wait until July. Mike is an all around awesome guy and it was nice to get to know him a little more at dinner at Riva Grill in South Lake Tahoe after the session. Mike was cool with anything and totally trusted me, I should have made him stand on his head or something right? Probably not, he’s a former college football player. Anyhow, I am enamored by clients like these and so happy to be sharing my photography with them.
We started out photographing in the freshly fallen snow and it was a perfect fit for the cowboy/cowgirl outfits. Samantha’s family has a ranch up in Montana so they are legit! Then we headed down to the beach at Edgewood and we had the most amazing light to work with as the sun faded across the Sierra Nevadas and beautiful Lake Tahoe.

I’m finally starting to catch up on some blogging so watch out! I photographed this awesome wedding a few months back and I figured I just had to share it with everyone.
PaNhia and Sna are a super sweet local couple who brought some awesome style to their wedding day at Galletto Ristorante in downtown Modesto, CA. If you haven’t been to a wedding or eaten there, you owe it to yourself to try it out. They serve some of the best, authentic Italian food in the valley and have a great selection across the menu. Add a bocce ball court on top of that and I’m stoked. Its always nice to photograph at venues that you’ve worked at before, especially when you get to work with Kelsey and Nicole who are tremendous with the on-site event planning.
I love the colors that PaNhia chose and how the chocolate brown tied everything together, very classy. Infinite Creations of Modesto did an excellent job with the florals and design. Thank you so much you two for having me along for your beautiful wedding! Enjoy.
