Wilson and Miranda brought buckets of awesome to their wedding. It was my first time to photograph an Assyrian wedding and I absolutely had an amazing time. The colors, the smiles, the singing, the drums, the flute… seriously, it was almost too much for me to handle.
Miranda looked absolutely gorgeous and her Kate Spade shoes were crazy awesome! They were easily in the top five wedding shoes that I’ve ever photographed and you will definitely be seeing them on my website. When she told me about her shoes at their engagement session, I knew they were going to be stunning. Needless to say, she didn’t disappoint. Miranda and her bridesmaids were all so calm and collected the whole time, it was like they knew everything was going to be perfect no matter what!
Wilson is a super cool guy. He’s laid back and totally in love with Miranda. You can just see it in his concern for her. It is so awesome to see guys that treat their brides like the princesses they are. Kudos to chivalry!
The wedding ceremony took place at the Assyrian Evangelical Church in Turlock, CA and the wedding reception was at the Larsa Center in Turlock, CA. In between the reception and ceremony, we took some time for photos with the wedding party at California State University Stanislaus.
I had so much fun and can’t wait for the next Assyrian wedding! Enjoy.

A photograph made on the beach in La Jolla, CA right near La Jolla Cove.

Here is a nifty little teaser from the amazing wedding of Wilson and Miranda on Saturday. There were so many beautiful people there, so many beautiful moments and I think I got a few beautiful photographs to prove it. :)
They were married at the Assyrian Evangelical Church in Turlock, CA and they had their beautiful reception at the Larsa Center in Turlock as well. We stopped by Cal State Stanislaus for some photo time. Here is a photo from there that I like. Enjoy.

I love this photo I made while in traffic (don’t worry, the car was stopped) crossing the Bay Bridge from Oakland to San Francisco. My favorite element of this photograph is definitely the light pole at bottom right. It is framed within the cables and it adds somewhat to the viewer’s sense of scale. Details are so important in a photograph and it would have been so easy to just crop out the little light pole.
If you’re a pro photographer who follows and reads my blog, I totally encourage you to get out there and take photos that mean something personal to you. I’m a wedding photographer, but I’d be remiss is all that I shot were weddings. Shooting personal work makes you a better photographer. Enjoy.

As I mentioned in their previous post, this couple is super fun! There were some great moments and beautiful details in their wedding and I am honored to have captured some of them. One of the coolest things about the location of their wedding is that Jenna grew up going to church in the old church building you see. But it wasn’t at the current location, it was in Lockeford, California right on Highway 88. The church decided to literally move the church from its former location and over to the new one. I love weddings that have some cool history mixed into them.
It was great to work at St. Joachim Catholic Church with the super talented Lynnie Lechich planning the wedding (I love planners who have artistic vision) and Emily Fasso of Embellish Floral.
Since Spanky and Jenna came all the way from San Diego to get married, I thought I’d throw out an extra large blog post.
Also, stay tuned for some images this week from my California Collections project and from Wilson and Miranda’s awesome Assyrian wedding in Turlock, CA at the Assyrian Evangelical Church and the Larsa Center. Minds will be blown, be careful. Enjoy.

He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

What a beautiful moment!

Yes, they were as good as they look! Thanks to Specialty Cakes.

Choreographed couple introductions are the hotness right now! Yes, THAT happened at a wedding!

Bo gave such a stellar best man speech. I was super impressed by the epicness of it.

Mollie definitely nailed the maid of honor toast. The emotions were beautiful.

I don’t even remember what this was all about, but this is TOTALLY Spanky and Jenna. Agreed?

We were able to sneak the couple out for a few relaxed portraits.

Don’t ask, don’t tell, just take pictures. That’s my story.

Yay for UC Davis college friends!

My camera makes cool pictures.

If I had one image to sum up the night, Whammy, here it is!
