Evy | Newborn

May 27, 2009

Evy is a little bundle of awesome that I photographed the other day for some great friends of mine, the Miraflors. Brandon, Evy’s dad went to school with my wife and was an usher in our wedding. He even wore a top hat! How cool is that? But Evy is probably cooler. Check her out. Enjoy.

I haven’t known Drew for too long, but I do know this: he’s a cool guy and he has a bright future. I’ve known his dad and grandpa for awhile and although they are both tough acts to follow, I think Drew is one who can definitely pull it off. It was at a church camp many years ago that Drew’s father pulled me aside for arguing with the ref (my older cousin) at a basketball game. I was sooooo mad and in the heat of the moment, I just cast him off as being rude. With some thought and contemplation I came to the conclusion that I was the one who was wrong and went to him that night to ask for his forgiveness (and my cousin). I’ll never forget that “life lesson” and I thought it was a cool connection to share with you.
So Drew, if you’re ever a ref at a camp game and Huntley is running his mouth, feel free to take care of him! haha.
Back to the session. Drew came up with the awesome concept of shooting at the Aerospace Museum at McClellan Field in Sacramento, Ca for his senior session. My response was a huge YES! Then I scouted the other area to shoot and we were set. Throw a fedora in the mix and I knew the session was going to be a winner. Here are some of my picks from Drew’s session. Please make sure to leave a nice comment below. Enjoy.

Eden learned to play the piano at age 3 and could sing all 50 states. At age two she could quote the entire 100th Psalm (it’s on YouTube if you don’t believe me). She asks questions that I can’t answer. She is smarter than 57% of the adults in any given room. She had TWO preschool graduations just to fit in all of her achievements. She likes it when I put her on the bed wrapped up in a towel and pull one end really fast. I love how awesome she is! Chuck Norris has nothing on Eden Autry!
Huntley forced his mom to by a Brown Bear book just so he could look at the white dog in it. Before he was walking he did headers off the big step in our den to make people laugh. He just learned how to do a fist pump. He is so awesome that when you give him a high five, he gives you two (maybe three) before you can get your hand down. He’s flirty. He brings the awesome on a continual basis.
Here are a few funny pictures of my pride and joy making a mess of our french doors. Enjoy.
