Those of you that know me know that I’m not a very competitive guy…well…I’m not as bad as I used to be. But I do love to market myself because I believe in my work and I believe in my business. I’ve been nominated to KCRA3′s A-List again and would love to get some votes from all of my loyal blog readers, friends, family, past clients and future clients. Here is the link to go sign up and vote, it only takes a minute.
2009 KCRA 3 A-List Contest Nominated: Best Photographer in the Sacramento area

Ryan and Kelly are two of the most fantastic people ever to walk down an aisle and I don’t believe that anyone has ever done it with such style and elegance. Most of my loyal blog readers will remember their engagement session from a few months back at Oak Farm Vineyards, Stockton Waterfront and Downtown Lodi.
Kelly is one of the most beautiful and genuine people I know. She displays a great attitude toward others and has been amazing to work with.
I was scouting around the night before the wedding and thought it would be cool to shoot a few group shots in some of the sunday school buses on the church campus before the wedding. Little did I know that Kelly and her family have helped with the church’s bus ministry for years and that this was something super important to her. Every sunday the buses go out and pick up children and families who don’t have a ride to church. So, I thought it was pretty cool that we got a few shots in there.
Ryan is and always has been a class act. I’ve known him for a few years now and I’ve never seen someone as cool and classy as Ryan. I’m excited for this couple and their bright, bright future together.
Here are a few images for everyone to see. Enjoy.

We had a cool get together with some awesome models at the Neon Museum in Las Vegas yesterday afternoon and took some pictures. More to come later but here are a few. Enjoy and say something in the comments if you think they are cool.

Zack Arias’ | Transform

February 18, 2009

I was checking my Twitter feeds today as I try to recover from the madness that was Las Vegas and came across this amazing video from one of my heroes (Zack Arias) in this industry. I know a lot of photographers check out this blog so I thought I’d post it up. I just want to be real, its not all about me or my wedding/lifestyle work on this blog. I want to make posts that carry weight and meaning. This one was an ocean liner full of both for me. Enjoy.

I have some amazing weddings booked for 2009 and there was none better to start the year off than Roger and Corina’s. From the first day we met and started discussing wedding photography, I could tell that we would get along great (super important to me by the way).
Roger is a little more reserved than Corina but if you spend even five minutes with him you’ll know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is in love with this girl. Case in point: if she’s not by his side, he’s on the iPhone chatting it up with her haha. Corina has a smile that is not just beautiful, but is ultra contagious. I mean, she is the type of person that when you look at her she will make you smile no matter what kind of mood you’re in. Awesome.
Their wedding took place in a small town outside of Fresno, CA called Sanger. This was probably the most amazing wedding to ever happen in this little town, so I feel pretty honored that they chose me to photograph their big day. From the live vocals to the beautiful reception at Pardini’s Restaurant in Fresno, all of the details were covered beautifully.
Big thanks to Rob Her of nLighten Images for coming out and second shooting with me, he rocked the house and was a huge help.
I hope you enjoy this blog post take care and stay tuned for: Ryan and Kelly, WPPI madness and much more to be blogged soon. PEACE!
