Archive for January, 2009

Yes the blog is still alive but those of you who follow me on Twitter and are Facebook friends will already know (good idea to do those things) that I’ve been brewing up a fresh new blog. I can’t wait for it to be done so you can all lose your vision because of how awesome it is. It will be the bling of blogs. You will be amazed.

Speaking of amazing, how about this family. Gerrod, Erin and Mia are a pretty cool family and they are about to have an addition to the coolness. We went out on a gorgeous (non-winter feeling) afternoon here in beautiful California for a lifestyle session and chalked up a few “good ones.” Enjoy

Huntley Drew is ONE

January 17, 2009

Huntley is basically the little man of the house. He has a great attitude and will win you over in a second with his beaming smile. Despite, what you saw in the birthday video, he actually has a great temperament (the temper he gets from his mom’s side of the family) and is pretty much an “easy like sunday morning” little guy.
I can’t wait to teach this guy how to grow up as a man. I was pondering the other day some of the things that I was taught and how they have helped me along the way. I’ll definitely be sharing with him some of the lost arts of being a gentleman as he grows. Opening the door for women, smiling at the elderly, always finding something to compliment people about, going out of your way to help people in need and that lost art of chivalry. Wish me luck, it shall be a long road but I think he’s up to the challenges that lie ahead. As you’ll see below, he has a good start with charming good looks, sartorialism and a dapper spirit about him. I guess he’s already quite the gentleman for letting his big sister hop in for a few shots. Enjoy. Make sure to check back soon for an announcement about the new website and a new blog coming soon!

I am very pleased to announce my acceptance into an exclusive group of amazing photographers around the world. Modern Photographers is a group of wedding photographers that have been reviewed by their peers and approved by them to be listed on a website as a resource for brides looking for an awesome photographer for their wedding day. I was voted in as a founder in the Northern California region along with some of my great friends and colleagues (Tinywater, Ed Pingol, the Stewarts, Regas Chefas and others). ModernPhotographers.com is a great resource for brides and I’m looking forward to submitting images, meeting with other members and doing something great in the industry. So check it out some day. Enjoy.

Huntley’s First Birthday

January 11, 2009

The little man of the house turned one yesterday and we had a nice time with family and close friends over at our place. I’ll try and get some images up but I couldn’t help post my first video clip form the new Canon 5D Mark II. Make sure you watch the video all the way to at least 1:10 where we had a little flare up. Good times, enjoy.

I met Natalie of CustomImpressions at a wedding vendor workshop I spoke at a few months ago but I never had a chance to see her amazing work until she asked me to do a product shoot for her new website. I was so amazed at the unique and totally classy invitations she brought for me to photograph. These invitations definitely look like nothing I’ve ever seen before and Natalie is a splendid person to work with. I can’t wait to see the new website Natalie, keep up the awesome! Enjoy.
