2009 In Review | Scott Andrew Weddings

January 4, 2010

Looking back on 2009, I’m moved by the many moments that were captured by my camera lens. I thoroughly enjoy looking back at the photographs I’ve created this year.
My main goal as a photographer and business person this past year was to make photographs in accordance with my own personal vision and do so consistency. I wanted to have a style that was recognizable to people and a brand with feeling. Without sounding arrogant, I think I’ve hot my goals. I believe the photos I created from my first wedding in 2009 until my final wedding of the year were consistent to my vision. Did I get better with the camera? Probably. Did I acquire new gear? Yes. Do I still want to improve as an artist? Definitely. But my point is that I feel my work has a consistency that couples know to expect when they hire me for their most important day.
My goals for 2010 are probably more business related, but I want to photograph with the same consistency as I did in 2009. Some things I’d like to try in 2010: phtograph bridal portraits on a white seamless, photograph with less flash (even in dark receptions), do more personal work and work on some photo books, lots of videos for the blog!
I put together a small slideshow with a few weddings and engagement sessions that I had in a folder (I could add so much more). So here are a few of my favorite sets from the year. Turn up the music, sit back and enjoy.
