There is nothing more joyous than celebrating the birth of a child. I have several friend who shoot only weddings and always ask why I like to photograph kids and families so much. The reasons are simple and run parallel to the reasons I shoot weddings: joy, fun, art and love.
I’ve known about the organization called “Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep” for a while now. I guess when you’re busy, you just overlook things sometimes, but I always knew I wanted to be a part of them. NILMDTS provides a service that is irreplaceable and that will last a lifetime for the parents of little ones who didn’t make it.
I can’t imagine the pain and hurt of losing a child and then having to cope with the loss for years to come. If I can just provide a few memories of that life, the little pure life that bypassed this earth and went straight to Heaven, then I will forever be changed. If you don’t cry when watching this video, make sure you have a pulse and watch it again.
I just found out that I was approved by NILMDTS to provide photography services in my area. I am totally moved and I hope I can help leave something positive in someone’s life. Watch this little video and remember to keep NILMDTS in your prayers.

Today I had a chance to reflect on my recent trip to New York and I wanted to show everyone this group of images from my trip. It was really great to just get out and walk around the city with my camera. When running a business, as an artist, the business side of things can really weigh you down, almost tapping some of your artistic energy. It is times like this that I get to recharge myself as an artist, no deadlines, no posing, just raw images of subjects that speak for themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I loooove working with people, but every once in a while it is good to mix things up and fall in love with your craft all over again.
