::Approved To Help::

November 6, 2008

There is nothing more joyous than celebrating the birth of a child. I have several friend who shoot only weddings and always ask why I like to photograph kids and families so much. The reasons are simple and run parallel to the reasons I shoot weddings: joy, fun, art and love.
I’ve known about the organization called “Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep” for a while now. I guess when you’re busy, you just overlook things sometimes, but I always knew I wanted to be a part of them. NILMDTS provides a service that is irreplaceable and that will last a lifetime for the parents of little ones who didn’t make it.
I can’t imagine the pain and hurt of losing a child and then having to cope with the loss for years to come. If I can just provide a few memories of that life, the little pure life that bypassed this earth and went straight to Heaven, then I will forever be changed. If you don’t cry when watching this video, make sure you have a pulse and watch it again.
I just found out that I was approved by NILMDTS to provide photography services in my area. I am totally moved and I hope I can help leave something positive in someone’s life. Watch this little video and remember to keep NILMDTS in your prayers.

Today I had a chance to reflect on my recent trip to New York and I wanted to show everyone this group of images from my trip. It was really great to just get out and walk around the city with my camera. When running a business, as an artist, the business side of things can really weigh you down, almost tapping some of your artistic energy. It is times like this that I get to recharge myself as an artist, no deadlines, no posing, just raw images of subjects that speak for themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I loooove working with people, but every once in a while it is good to mix things up and fall in love with your craft all over again. I hope you all enjoy this and if any of you are interested in prints of these images please inquire. Enjoy.

(Starting from top left proceeding to the right) Row #1: The view from my room in the Village. I think the white building is part of NYU. Central Park’s lovely foliage. Una Pizzeria Napoleotana, they create the most amazing/authentic pizza known to man. Holland Tunnel.
Row #2: Streetlight (that apparently nobody pays attention to) in Tribeca. Buildings in Tribeca. Brooklyn Bridge, shot from the car. Ditto.
Row #3: Empire State Building. Old Glory flying outside of the fire department near Union Square. Benches in Central Park. Under Brooklyn Bridge. FDNY. Subway entrance.

:Family Sessions::

November 3, 2008

Ok folks, the year is wrapping up like a brand new camera box under my tree (hint hint to the wifey) and we have only a few spots left open for holiday sessions! If you’re thinking about doing it, stop whatever you’re doing and call because the longer you wait, the chances are there won’t be any spots left. Make sure you ask about our Christmas Card Promotion. Here is a shot of my favorite little dude from a few weeks ago. Enjoy.
