In other news today…the average cost of a wedding for 2007 is $27,408. I saw this in the paper and thought that it might be interesting. I’ll add my $.02 as well: flowers will wilt and die, dresses will be boxed and stored in the attic, food will be consumed and, well, digested……but the images we, as photographers, capture from that “oh-so special” day, will last forever!
If you think about it, a nice cake and gorgeous flowers can look terrible if you hire a photographer who you thought might save you some money. Just a thought, I know! So what do you think is a good price for a complete wedding? Should you splurge and charge stuff to a card? Post your thoughts and discussions below! Anyhow, watch for the massive Disneyland Update from my vacation in a day or two here!
Grab some popcorn and check out this beautiful couple. An awesome overlooking Lake Camanche.

This post goes out to all my photographer friends that stalk the pages of my blog. I’ve been inspired lately to really “free” shoot more. After seeing some of my images that came from trying new angles, methods, settings, I told myself this: every wedding and portrait session, I owe it to my client and myself, to break the molds and break the rules a little bit. For example this wedding shot was something out of the ordinary: I threw my camera on the end of a monopod with a shutter release cord in one hand and the mono in the other. Booom! Bird’s eye view. As if breakdancing 6 year olds weren’t cool enough. So free it up and try something new. I am shooting Sasha & Eric’s wedding up at a lake house this weekend, I’m definitely going to be doing some new things! Stay tuned for more radness!
